Exceptional

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It had a/c and also had an electric fan on the roof which was a nice touch for when the a/c was too cold. The host was absolutely fantastic! She was so kind and very welcoming. She booked a tour of the caves for us and our bus to Hanoi both at very short notice. Our bus didn’t leave Phong Nha until late at night, but the host gave us the use of the room during the day to leave our bags and shower even after we had checked out which was amazing. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect little homestay to relax in after hiking in Phong Nha!

This little homestay in Phong Nha was perfect and very inexpensive for all the amenities it provided. It is located centrally and is within walking distance of restaurants and attractions. The bedroom and bathroom were modern and very very clean. The bed was cozy, the WiFi was strong, the air conditioner was very cooling, and the decor/lights were very relaxing. The staff were sweet, friendly, and accommodating. My overnight bus from Ninh Binh arrived at 3am and I was able to contact the staff at that hour and be immediately checked in! My bus back to Hanoi left at 9pm and I was also able to check out that late. I had tons of privacy (unlike in a hostel) which was ideal for me. I would stay here again in a heart beat and recommend it to everyone.

Staff members were accommodating for early check in and check out at 4am in the morning

Breakfast advertised in the description however they have not been doing this since Covid-19. Description needs updating to avoid disappointment as this hotel was booked for my friends birthday.

Good

We thought this homestay was good but not excellent. It's a simple room with a simple bathroom but definately okay for a couple of days in Phong Nha. The owner rented us scooters for a fair price and was really happy all the time, although there was an occational language barrier. If were to choose again we might have gone with a farmstay for the experience.

The best homestay ever!

We three girls had a wonderful trip in Phong Nha. This homestay is highly recommended for anyone traveling to Phong Nha Ke Bang. Mrs. Nga is super cute. Her smile was always on her beautiful face greeting us with the warmest welcome. She was so kind and gentle. She reminded us to come back right when the last bus to Dong Hoi was close. She let us stay for a little bit longer after a long trip to Suoi nuoc Mooc without any extra fee (at 12PM and we were exhausted and could not check out right away). She was so caring also, she always turned on the AC before we came back home from trips so we didn't have to wait for the room to be cool. I barely understood Quang Binh accent but I loved the way she talked slowly with a big smile. Her family was also nice to us, her children are beautiful like their mother. The last 2 days staying in Golden Forest made my trip unforgettable along with other things. Now I understand why there are so many good feedbacks for this homestay. Since it is really good! Thank you so much chi Nga, I hope you all the best!

Exceptional

I travelled to Phong with a group of 5 friends and booked a room of 3 beds in Golden Forest Homestay. The room is so spacious, cleand and well equipped. We had a wonderful time staying here. The owner was so friendly and helpful. She gave us many advices reagarding where to visit, eat, etc. Highly recommend the homestay and believe me, you wont be disappointed :D

Great place if you don't mind a bit noisy evenings

The owner is very hospitable, she arranged for us whatever we asked for: early morning check in (4am), motorbike, laundry, bus tickets. The hotel is clean and in our room, there was everything we needed.

The neighbourhood is quite noisy in the evenings because of karaoke pubs. We heard loud music at least until 12pm. Earplugs are usuful in this area.

Great spot to stay in beautiful phong nha

This guesthouse was in the perfect location to get about. It was right opposite a lovely vegetarian restaurant and next to lots of other restaurants. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was good. The owner was super helpful and showed us how to ride a scooter for the first time. We hired them from her. The breakfast was nice and the WiFi worked well. She also organised taxis for us.

Superb

The host Nga and her family are pretty nice. We could do an early check-in at 4 am for 50.000VND per Person which was also a fair price. The Homestay has a great spot, directly on the Mainstreet where all the restaurants are.

Unfortunately it was bit cold in the room because the aircon has no heating function.

Nice owners, great location. Glass door spoilt sleep a little.

Nice place right in the centre of Phong Nha so it was nice to just be able to walk around the town for food. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and even put our bikes in the garage area for us and brought them out when we came down in the morning. Lady who ran the place was nice and helpful and wasn't pushing when it comes to tours either and let us just do our own thing. Breakfast was nice as you had a good choice of things.

Main thing I didn't like was that the room door was glass and the corridors were quite light at night meaning we struggled to get to sleep as the room wasn't very dark. It would also be nice to have maybe cheese and bread as a savoury veggie selection for breakfast. The coffee could be improved. I think the problem is that we asked for fresh milk and when it is dripped over it becomes too cold.

Friendly staff and warm stay

Friendly home stay. Welcomed me and allow me to check in at 4am without paying extra. Breakfast is good with different choices. The room is clean, comfortable and big with good price. Good tour booking, fast laundry service and bus ticket arrangements. Thank you very much and I enjoyed the stay!!

The bar nearby is a bit noisy at night (9-12pm) if you would like to sleep early.
